最近在英文界的blogsphere，链接诱饵(link bait)这个话题讨论得很热。之前我翻译过Performancing的10 Killer Posts。在这篇翻译的文章当中，我有接触到链接诱饵，所以今天决定翻译同样来自performancing的The Art of Linkbaiting。除了翻译之外，我还会加入自己的想法。
Read this, Blinkymummy thinks Xiaxue created a hate blog of her after some photo shoot where she posted XX’s unphotoshopped pics:
And when you read the Hate Site, you’d realise why the writer has to be XX.
Because:(A) Both times I met her, i.e. Her World Shoot and Hol V, she was alone. So, only she would remember things to such details.
(B) She hates my 大哥 for calling her ‘hideous’. < -- even though my 大哥 said he was hideous too.
(C) The Hate Site is written and spelt in the same way as she does on her own blog.
(D) The 2nd entry was written at 6am in the morning, i.e. a few hours after Moby and I met her at Hol V.
(E) She's not doing it from her own blog coz either (i) she doesn't want to be known for the flaming or (ii) she doesn't want Blinkymummy to get more hits, or (iii) both. =)))
Worst still, she used XiaLanXue’s name. Let’s hope this will turn out interesting…lol

blog就像一个家, 当然有时候会有客人
也许有些人还不知道这几天在这里blogging的人不是我. 这几天因为我的laptop拿去修理, 而我自己也想休息几天, 所以我特地邀请哮廊帮我当家几天. 他似乎很过瘾一下, 在这里写的东西比在他自己的blog写得多. 如果各位喜欢他写的东西的话, 那可以去哮了读他的blog.
About licensing and how to protect your intellectual property and also sharing it!
The only advantage in using CC Malaysia, I think, is that my content would be more easily searched in the really nice CC Malaysia portal. Otherwise, the license itself is the same as other standard CC licenses, only reworded to suit some Malaysian copyright law. I could be wrong here, I’m no lawyer. I have not completely studied the license document (PDF) itself, so yes, I could be very wrong.
It would be nice if I can use both. For example, for usage of my work only in Malaysia, I use CC Malaysia. For other developing countries, CC devnations is used. For non-developing/developed countries, I use the traditional All Rights Reserved license. Is this possible?

Another blog war coming?
Some of you know that I was born and bred in Singapore. Correction. I was born in Singapore, and then brought back to Malaysia just before primary school started. Contrary to popular belief that being in Singapore would allow me a BETTER education, my parents decided that they wanted me to grow up speaking my mainland tongue too, that’s Malay. Oh, yeah, and Mandarin as well.
The other thing was also the fact that my mother told me, ‘I don’t want you to grow up having a Singaporean mentality.’
