Cosplayers quantity grew tremendously more compared to last year and more quality cosplay too! On day two, there were some Trinity Blood cosplayers who dressed so lavishly and look so elegant! My particular favourite was Kazeki’s Seth Nightlord cosplay ^_^. There were also the Mario brothers who were very cute! And also Ultraman!!!! Seriously, this year’s cosplay rocks! The cosplay group performances rock too! Very well planned and funny too!

A blogger who got tricked into paying more than what a diamond is worth in Thailand:

My boyfriend and I were visiting Bangkok from 10 Nov 05 to 12 Nov 05. On the afternoon of 11 Nov 05, we were walking towards Wat Pho when one pedestrian stopped us to tell us that the temple is closed and suggested we visit the Lucky Buddha temple which is only open on that day, then proceed to the Thai Export Center which is having a gem sale for the last day. He even helped us negotiate the price for the tuk-tuks and circled the places in our map. We met a man in the temple we also told us to go to the Thai Export Center. We went and bought a 0.3 carat diamond ring from Sapphire and Diamond Center Co. Ltd. and were given a certificate

Local news - NST. When you’re relating something you read in the newspapers, it’s better to sound like this, “I read in the Straits Times the by-election’s won by BN,” than this, “The Star says BN won the by-election.” NST just has a better ring to it, it sounds more, important, reliable.

Lifestyle section - The Star’s Section 2, of course. NST’s Life and Times is a sorry excuse for more advertising space. But wait, I want to include Rina Omar’s column from The Malay Mail on Sunday. I want to use it to wrap fish.

Letters to the Editors - NST too. Let’s face it, all the old farts in Malaysia reads NST. I would rather read some suggestive and constructive criticsms than some twenty-year olds complaining about the lack of shopping malls.
